A Shovel
A shovel! You’re saved! You slam it into the wall with all your strength, feeling the vibrations run through you, and watch with satisfaction as a chunk of stone falls off. As you keep digging, the shovel chips and shards of stone shower around you.
Eventually your shovel bursts through and you feel a rush of cool fresh air. With newfound strength you keep breaking your way through, scrambling onto your hands and knees to scrape away just enough to squeeze through the gap. With all of your muscles screaming from the exertion, you roll over onto your back and let the breeze flow over you.
You find yourself in a sprawling cave, with a beautiful clear river snaking through it. All along the walls are vines that glow slightly, filling the cave with an otherworldly light. But beautiful as it is, you still have to get home. With your eyes squinted, you’re able to make out two paths, a mineshaft and a tunnel filled with moss and strange glowing berries.
