To Take it Back
The memories grew more vivid. You had guarded it with your life, you had promised, SWORN that you would never lose it. Then one day it all slipped away.
The pounding of boots on dirt, screams and threats and cries and the only option? Give it up. You watched as it was placed into those awful hands, you hardly felt like yourself as you did it. But you had to. You had to or they would be killed. You couldn't lose them. But you couldn’t lose this either.
You knew where they kept it. You would get it back. Getting out of this room was easy. The locks were old and your skills were sharp. Taking out the guard was a little bit more challenging, but now you have a disguise, and that couldn't hurt. You put it on and strode confidently down the hallway, taking note of any potential issues you may run into.
